Default PvE: What do you guys do?

I've played GW since its release and loved it to bits. I've spent countless hours burning into the early hours of the night in places like FoW, UW, DoA. However there is only so many times you can play these areas before they become repetitive. For the past year I fled GW to play WoW and really love how much they seem to add new content. I guess with the amount of money they make each month they need to keep doing so. I got bored with WoW at the weekend and logged back into GW. Since my guild were all offline (most of them too quit playing GW now) I went to watch a PvP game. I was watching each class remembering each spell/skill and how well thought out every skill is in this game. GW is vastly superior to WoW but WoW is vastly superior for its content.
This makes me wonder what all the old players still do with their time in GW? I grinded my titles for a while but gave up when it came to the really grind ones like sweets, drinks etc. Does anyone else miss new content?
I am really looking forward to GW2. As a friend said though I hope they don't make a WoW 1.5.

Grind titles and periodically try and find a non-tedious way to make cash...

Doing the elite areas regularly might be fun, but its hell finding a group in general, let alone as a ranger...

This. I've done just about every PvE area you could think of 100 times over, so just working on afew tittles here and there, And look for nice ways to earn abit of capital.

Read your post and agreed with everything. Also been playing since release but have been going between WoW and GW for a while and came back to GW just recently. Titles do become a bit of a grind. I've started vanquishing on my warrior (since the tactics and hammer updates) and it's been pretty fun so far. The best thing to do is vanquish with at least one other player. Otherwise it's lonely and boring

Also been re-visiting a few of the classic solo farms like FoW beach and spiders. Builds like Racthoh's still work really well. Other than that just waiting and hoping for GW2 to announce new info.

Did Sorrow's furnace yesterday. Was really fun and nostalgic. It adds an achievement in your hall of monuments which is nice.

Hope that helps. Welcome back to GW.

Currently I'm seeing how far I can get a Monk survivor through GWAMM without dying. So far I'm r1 KOABD, and half way to Guardian with 2 and a half million xp. Yes, I got survivor the long way.

Me and a friend recently made a pair of pew pew assassins which has kept us interested for the last month or so. Having another person to play through pve content with makes it a lot more interesting and fun, especially if you're not too hung up on getting 'phat loot'.

These days all I do pve wise is dungeons or grind titles. Currently working on finishing GWAMM for my ranger (r4) and working on GWAMM for my monk and rit (r1).

Been playing since the release as well and always wonder WTF when I see the words " Bored " come across the screen from people ?? You have either logged a zillion hours on this game or quite frankly you haven't done everything yet and there is no way this game compares anything to WoW, the later simply sucks.

I've done everything apart from reach the last tier of "God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals". I have thousands of hours played and many of them very enjoyable. My point is the game lacks anything new for a good year or two now. Since it's lacking in this content I was wondering what people have been doing to keep themselves busy.
I am not comparing WoW to GW. GW is very much a PvP game, WoW is the opposite.
I think your missing my point. I was trying to say I love GW but for now I have no reason to come back and play it.

Also this game is almost 5 years old now. Since your member date is 2010 I guess your relatively new to the game? If you can come back in 5 years time and still say the same thing then good on you.

I've been working on titles more of late.

I still do play things over and over with different characters, but it's with friends so it's a blast still. We like having fun while doing stuff so things don't get old as fast.

And on another note, other friends always getting me to try other mmo games and I just can't get into them like I did GW. Not sure what it is. lol

I wish either of the following would be true:

1) ANet releasing more/real new paid content.

2) WoW or another monthly paid game being at least as good as GW.

But they aren't.

I did the same thing on Saturday, and was quite shocked to get a chaos axe out of a chest.

I also have a bad habit of deleting and re-rolling characters, currently working on a leg survivor ranger, cleaning up gold drops from chest running and giving them to people in ascalon, and I've been playing the bonus mission pack a lot lately.

Another bonus mission pack would be great.

GW is not a P vs P game, there is way more P vs E content. There's just the option of playing P vs P since they wanted to appeal to a broader group of players.

Game 5 years old I had no idea it was that old, hello... told you I had been playing since release, well shortly after beta actually. You look at my join date here to determine if I am a new player or not, LOL. Quite frankly I still love the game and I think if you will find if you have a group of players you game with on a regular basis that goes a long way toward the life of the game as well.

What do we get here on GURU at least one thread a week on " I'm bored " or " something is dying " ?

Trying different chars, so far I have games finished with my Necro, warrior, ranger and assassin. But none of them have finished them all. I think I will go on with my sin from here, really loving the scythe sin only in nightfall there are many enchant removals

Haven't been able to finish Saul's story. I suck at that mission.

Would absolutely love a Bonus Mission pack around the story of the new GW2book. Sorry off topic.

Another thing I've been doing in PvE is farming weapon upgrades and making sure all my sword/axes etc have perfect mods. Kinda lame but fun too.

I guess all these people are wrong then?

We had a good group of friends playing it, its was an event that was taken most Saturday evenings. However we all grew bored over time.
